Speech & Language Therapy ConsultancyI qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 1983, from the Central School of Speech & Drama in London. I am a member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapist www.rcslt.org/ and a registered practitioner with the Health Professional Council www.hpc-uk.org/ Over the past 20+ years I have worked in the UK and overseas, within the public, independent and charitable sectors. This extensive experience has enabled me to develop significant clinical, teaching, management and consultancy skills, to support children and adults who have communication and learning difficulties. Early on in my career I developed a particular interest in working within the field of learning difficulties and special needs. I have acquired considerable expertise supporting and meeting the needs of children and adults in a variety of settings. In particular I have specialised my skills in working with people with Autism. I am currently employed by Symbol UK Ltd www.symboluk.co.uk a unique, “not for profit” independent service provider organisation.
